Trailer watch: Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug sneak peek

It's the new trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, now with more Mountain King.

In a recent global live Q+A, The Hobbit director Peter Jackson and members of the cast answered questions via YouTube with fans around the world. The hour long video can be viewed as an archive here.

The most exciting thing from the session however, was the new extended trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug that was presented during the event. The third trailer details more of the internal struggles faced by Bilbo Baggins, as he faces off with the namesake of the film, the Benedict Cumberbatch-voiced dragon Smaug. We're also given plenty of never-before-scene footage from the film, reminding us that the film's much anticipated debut is not too far away.
