A childhood cannot be complete without viewing this movie at least once. To a youngster’s eyes, the ninja is the ultimate killing machine, sleek, stealth like and almost invincible. With that said, this movie takes all the cool elements of the ninja, the mystique and the mystery and throws them out of the truck, over the bridge and into the river below. Michael Dudikoff’s movie career may have paralleled only the likes of the black guy from Miami Vice and/or the guy from Airwolf, but with his stunningly chocky performance in this movie, it is truly a wonder why they made 5, yes 5, American Ninja movies. Oh that’s right, he wasn’t in half of them. With that said, this movie has him and his army buddies virtually wipe out a million, zillion ninjas. Making the ninja’s limp, weak and truly pathetic. It’s a wonder how all those ninja’s got out of ninja school with all the noise they make before attacking their victim. This movie is truly a piece of cinematic history.
