Bob Dylan, Martin Scorsese, and the Rolling Thunder Revue

The trailer for 'Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese' has dropped and will feature Dylan's first new on-screen interview in more than a decade

In 1975, Bob Dylan ventured out in an ill-fated tour called the 'Rolling Thunder Revue', where the legendary artist (alongside other famed names like Joan Baez, Roger McGuinn, and Ramblin’ Jack Elliott) hit the road to play theater venues with little to no-notice for the general public. The rolling caravan of shows featured music, theatre, a face-painted Bob Dylan, and at times a confused crowd (when seeing a face painted Bob Dylan, a heckler asked; "Why are you wearing a mask?").

It went as well as expected. But through all the fabled stories of ups and downs the tour produced, cameras were rolling the whole time- capturing the traveling troupe of trouble as it traversed across North America.

On June 12th, Netflix will release Martin Scorsese's documentary about the tour- the second time Scorsese has worked with Dylan- and will feature Dylan's first new on-screen interview in more than a decade. Titled Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese (phew), the release coincides with the upcoming 14-disc(!!) Rolling Thunder Revue: The 1975 Live Recordings release.

The official Netflix blurb details how the documentary;
