Brisbane post-hardcore band Awaken I Am have revealed the deeply personal video for the track "Kin". The song, part of their upcoming new EP The Beauty in Tragedy, is a tribute to their late guitarist Connor Verner-Oakley, who was tragically killed in an automobile accident last May.

The band have said "Kin", and their EP, is part of the process of dealing with their anger of what happened;

"Part of dealing with the loss of our brother Connor was coming to terms that he was taken from us far too soon and the anger stemming from that. ‘Kin’ was our chance to bring those emotions to the surface and say what we needed towards the responsible party."

Awaken I Am will soon hit the road opening for Slaves starting March 21st and will release their new EP in April via Victory Records.
