Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro will once again share screen time- the first since they shared a scene in Michael Mann’s terrific 1995 drama Heat. The duo have been linked together thanks to an upcoming indie thriller titled Righteous Kill. Variety reports that the duo will reunite for the $60million pic, written by Russell Gerwitz (Inside Man) and set to be helmed by Jon Avnet, slated to start shooting later this August.
One of the film’s producers, Avi Lerner, has stated that; “This is an event in world history … they were in two scenes in Heat. In this movie, they are in the whole thing together.”
Words of truth Mr. Lerner … it would indeed be a momentous occasion if it weren’t for the likes of Shark Tale, Analyze That, The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle, S1m0ne, Two for the Money, and Gigli, ruining the respective tastes in our mouths.

I just bought 200,000 shares of Family Room Entertainment Corporation, one of the companies producing this film. Whoo-hoo.
