Heartland rock n’ roller John Mellencamp is set to take more than 20 years of music on the road starting this March. Dubbed the ‘Words & Music Tour,’ Mellencamp will be on the road showcasing many of his hit songs that now span some three decades. The tour is on the heels of the release of his greatest hits album, Words & Music, which collects 35 tunes (including two new tracks) across two CDs and a supplementary DVD.

The tour begins March 23rd in Savannah, Georgia and will trek on through the middle of April where he’ll play Louisville’s Freedom Hall. Mellencamp’s official website has listed ticket prices to be in the range of $25 to $35 along with details on how you can go about purchasing a few. Words & Music is the follow up to 2003’s Trouble No More, which boasted a DVD documentary detailing the making of the album (read review).
