Re-energized punk trio Green Day have announced dates for the second leg of their North American tour. Riding a wave of critical and commercial success, the band are once again taking to the road in April for more than a month with My Chemical Romance in tow. The group’s latest and most critically acclaimed album, American Idiot, is nominated for a Grammy (Album of the Year) and has reached multi-platinum status. They will also perform at this year’s award show, slated to take place February 15th. The band’s official website has all your ticket presale information.

Green Day are currently out in the United Kingdom and will venture down under to Australia before hitting Japan later in March. Two sold-out June dates for the United Kingdom have attracted some 120,000 fans and will feature the likes of Taking Back Sunday and Jimmy Eat World in opening slots.
